Japan - Kobe trip West

20100602_101301-IMG_7839_ji As a little afternoon entertainment was on this day a trip to West Kobe on the program. Trigger for this visit was my desire to Akashi Kaikyo Bridge ( Akashi Kaikyo Ohashi ) Bridge to visit, which should be the bridge with the largest span between the piers.

As part of preparations for this trip, we discovered a number of other attractions, which was on its way to the bridge and it was quickly put together in wonderful program for the afternoon.

Regarding the weather, we needed to make us worry, because the sun shone from a flawless blue sky. This also meant very high temperatures and harsh light. So I was not really ungrateful that we took after our arrival at the first sight once our dinner to us.

20100602_044136-IMG_6642_ji It turned out that our chosen restaurant is a popular sushi restaurant, which was expressed also in the prices. Nevertheless, we stayed. Eri put together a small menu, which turned out to be paying for, they just had to keep an eye on the prices and we really came of it relatively cheaply.

Moreover Eri chose mostly from the food, because even if I could now fairly well read hiragana, which brought me to the menus further. They consisted mostly of Kanji (Chinese characters), which represented the first obstacle, because the know the hiragana characters also meant not for a long time that I knew any words (ok, I knew that, but they were not helpful - cat, dog and apple :-) ) ... So I gave myself every time in the trusting hands of Eris. In fairness, must still be told, it was not hit as hard for my taste, Eri, smaller than the one I omnivores, and the other did the same things as her father.

The sushi , which was set before we got steep as something exotic in its compilation, but tasted very good and we both enjoyed the meal of this.

In addition, Joy gave me the observation of a neighboring table. There, a group of women had settled. They also extensively ordered sushi , but were satisfied not only with pleasure, but it most carefully analyzed each piece. Unfortunately I could not determine whether they were satisfied with the work, but they ate it and it could not all be bad.

20100602_054632-IMG_6772_ji Well saturated, we made our way to the end to our first attraction, the temple Sumadera.

As we entered the facility, we had no idea how big it is. Just one glance at a sign made us suspect that there was much to discover. In addition, we saw the system does not indicate that she was already built in 886th Due to the very new-looking building, I had assumed spontaneously, it was a completely new temple.

How I learned to stay in this temple is the main plant of Sumadera sect of Shingon Buddhism .

20100602_061624-IMG_6856_ji In the complex there were so many buildings, sculptures and more, that I knew absolutely no idea where I should look first. Another issue that the time melted away between your fingers. Only the red-hot burning sun prompting from me and I retreat into the shadows and put me on a cold towel on her head (somehow I got used to since the visit of the hot springs bath because :-) ) ... No, seriously, I was just before a violent sunstroke.

20100602_063442-IMG_6928_ji Just as impressive as the temple was the cemetery that surrounded the plant, although the children's cemetery particularly true sad and thoughtful agreed.

From the temple we went by train a few stops further on Suma-ku , here there was a gondola that we should bring up in the mountains and should give us views of the city and the coast. This aroused great expectations which were fulfilled outstanding in full.

What turned out to be only on arrival was that this car also offered access to a recreational facility for children, this was reflected clearly reflected in the presentation and design. Now this was more disturbing than funny, but it still brought an exciting aspect of the visit.

After spending the first portion of our trip up in a gondola through adult led, it was finally in a very adventurous companions to switch. It looked like plastic tubs, which drove up the mountain via the treadmill. In such times as I watched a tub inside and it just rumbled and schunkelte enormous, as it slowly went further up the mountain.

20100602_075041-IMG_7046_ji This vehicle not only seemed to me to be fun, but we watched other people or even groups of youths, so they really had a lot of fun. I was just worried that I could get up sorted. To my delight, it worked.

Actually, you could continue the journey still continues, but this is via chair lift, but I decided not like it, especially since we had reached the station with the perfect vantage point on the coast of Kobe.

That this plant was already substantially in the years come, could not be overlooked, but somehow it all over again lent its own charm.

20100602_092612-IMG_7818_ji I take the opportunity a couple of panoramic photos to create and enjoy the view. The journey to the bottom I pushed a little ahead of me, because I had to re-enter into the plastic tub and it horrified me in front of something. Still, I managed to come down again unharmed.

As a final point on this day was the Akashi Kaikyo bridge in our program. Eri led me to a point where you could admire the entire bridge. Somehow forced on me but on the impression that this point of view it was not chosen entirely altruistic, because at the same place there was an outlet center :-) - So I just enjoyed the view of the bridge and then it went into the center.

20100602_121501-IMG_7955_ji Joined the business as against 20 clock, we re-emerged at the point of view and I was presented a nicely lit bridge. That night I even had a bit of luck, because you illuminated in bright colors. It would also certainly only red, green, or anything else can be.
