Japan - Osaka Aquarium

20100608_093846-IMG_9799_ji It was a long time on our list of attractions to visit today and it was finally time. We headed to Osaka to the local aquarium to visit.

To Kaiyukan aquarium to achieve, we had only one trust by public transport. For me, the many companies, rates, machines and platforms were retained after this long period of my stay, still a great mystery. So I trotted along behind Eri mostly good and trusted her completely.

Kobe is actually sleepwalking Eri moved safely through this maze to me like a seeming maze, but the public transportation from Osaka, inspired also their respect.

20100608_044113-IMG_8822_ji So we reached Osaka Although easily, but then it was an ordinary march through the corridors, underpasses and a couple of times demands, until we finally stood on the platform, from which it is in the direction of the aquarium should go.

But at the next changeover, the confusion was complete again, and even the view of the sign with the platform scheme confused more than it helped. There were so many levels, different connections with each other, that the decision was very difficult to know where we ultimately should hinlaufen. But this obstacle was eventually overcome.

20100608_044139-IMG_8827_ji If you think now, that would have eliminated by achieving the correct train platform all problems is wrong, because here can lurk some pitfalls. Especially if, as in Osaka comes to the ring road. Here we had to sign an information only once to determine in which area of the platform holding the desired train. Was known to the section, there were sometimes per access to the wagon two ways a snake form. In most cases, was the one marked with a triangle, the other with a circle.

All this information had to be taken from the Zuganzeige what made this ad appear somewhat confusing, but it was understood, had himself quite the right spot at the boarding gate are found quickly.

Fortunately, there were also exposed to Osaka announcements in English and I did not feel quite so helpless in the letters and advertisements.

20100608_052359-IMG_8881_ji When we Kaiyukan Aquarium reached, I noticed first the mighty currents of school children and I worry that we need with these masses in the aquarium disappear. But we had arrived a little late and so there were these masses leaving again on the point of the terrain and it was finally really relatively empty in the building and the path through the building could be enjoying glorious.

For me this was the special aquarium s that in the center of the building was a really huge water tank in which all kinds of fish had her at home. The tank was so big that even the most 13-meter long whale shark seemed to almost delicate, though you can not really talk at length of this dainty.

20100608_071814-IMG_9389_ji From the entrance, we took an escalator up to the roof of the building and of course there is a wall in a spiral around the central tank downward into the building. This path was about 500 meters long and the various aquariums offered a wonderful insight into the underwater world of our planet. It was impressive.

So like a couple of hours passed in which we followed the course and again stood before the astonished and marveled at the various windows and bustle behind them.

As we were leaving the building, it was time to eat dinner By now, and it took our the opposite building where there were lots of shops, restaurants and entertainment areas.

The Local did not look, but unfortunately, as we would want to eat there, so we committed ourselves to one of the fast food restaurants. We sat with the food in the atrium of the building.

20100608_091742-IMG_9763_ji We had just sat down when a band began their performance, so I started but in fact during my stay at a range of life-legendary J-Pop .

The artists strove really honest, but the few fans could not really spread weibleichen much sentiment. Nevertheless, the girls watched intently, and the artists did their enthusiasm between songs made known to their capabilities.

20100608_102000-IMG_9871_ji Finally, the question, we go home, or we do something else. Since Eri had a great idea. Not far away there was the " World Trade Center "building (English-language link). In his view there should be a level that would provide a magnificent view over the city.

How great it was, I did not even, as we at the feet of this 256 meters high building stood with its 55 floors. But as it slowly (ok, fast) with the elevator going up floor by floor, I began to sense to me to be part of a grand view would.

20100608_113759-IMG_0093_ji So it was then, and I could make an impressive view over the sea of houses in the city and sea from themselves.

We stayed until it was dark so you could watch how slowly the darkness of the city fell, and struggled the kindling of lights against the darkness there.

I admit that this visit was a real highlight and I enjoyed every minute.

So it was, however, that we trickled in that day and tired at home much later than we did before.

    Great night shots!
In the long-legged crabs and jellyfish, however, I was shaken.

Hello ... so yes I like the jelly fish in the aquarium, but the other critters make me shudder too. In Norway, they had really been looking forward, as they settled there in the sea, because you could make money so chic. But now they are developing well in a real nuisance ... :-)
