Tasmania's largest National Park forms the remote southern portion
of the World Heritage Area. Majestic peaks and thickly-forested
valleys are interspersed with extensive buttongrass plains. To
the south there are magnificent beaches and the picturesque waters
of Port Davey. For the adventurous, walking tracks provide access
to the park's wild interior, while dramatic views of the rugged
scenery are possible from the Strathgordon and Scotts Peak roads.
The eastern portion of the Park is entered via Cockle Creek, south
of Dover.
